The Files properties page allows you to select amongst several options.
Use multiple user named preference files (default)
Use single global preference file (USB Drive)
After running the program the first time a preferences file is created to store such information as the last used units, last used category, last used input value, window position, favorites, history, significant digits selected, decimal-point precision, scientific notation setting, update settings, help file preference, selected language file, list of enabled and disabled conversion equation files, show all/common files selection, transparency setting, and last selected units within each category. This file is titled "{user_name} Preferences.ini", by default. Alternatively, a single preferences file can be selected, titled "Preferences.ini". This is ideal for USB Drives and the like.
Use installed help file (default)
Use online help
A help file(Converber.chm) typically exists in the working directory if selected during installation or manually copied to the working directory from the zip file(converber.zip). To save disk space, or to use help in a language other than English, an option has been added to use online help. With the online help file selected, the user will be taken to the appropriate web page via the default web browser.
